The average person should get 8 hours of sleep but actually gets less than 7 hours. Over a long period of time this can affect you're over all health. Sleep disorders can cause heart problems, depression, diabetes and a weakened immune system.
There are certain practices that you can do during the day to help your body prepare for a restful night. Make sure you avoid eating big meals, smoking, consuming caffeine and napping close to bedtime. Keeping a consistent schedule will help prepare your body for a good nights rest.
